Lead Service Designer
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow/Dundee, is currently looking to recruit a Design Futures & Organisational Designer (Lead Service Designer) for a 2 week contract on a rate of £680/day (inside IR35). This role will follow a hybrid approach where the role holder will be expected to go into either the Glasgow or Dundee office for 2 days a week.
Essential Skills:
– Experience and knowledge leading Organisational and Service design projects. Including the design of target operating model for local or central government, roadmaps for change and researching, prototyping & designing inclusive public services.
– Experience and knowledge leading the design of preferable futures for local and central government applying speculative design, system thinking and foresight methodologies.
– Experience leading and managing change as well as complex projects and cross functional teams. Including setting up design capabilities, increasing design maturity and scoping work through design briefs/TOR.
– Experience using visual communication and storytelling to simplify complexity to engage stakeholders at all levels within the organisation. Including sense making to build narratives that unify teams through common language, visualizing complexity and facilitating the co-design of unifying approaches.
– Experience articulating a design-led approach and its impacts in users and the organisations capacity to deliver its policy intent.
