Data Analyst
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Data Analyst for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of £400/day (Outside IR35). This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.
Responsibilities:
– Define the data quality metrics and standards that need to be implemented in the data quality services.
– Provide feedback on how data retention rules should be applied to meet business and compliance requirements.
– Validate the output of the data quality services to ensure it meets organizational needs.
– Offer insights into the data cleaning process to ensure it aligns with analytical use cases.
– Act as a liaison between the business stakeholders and technical teams for data-related requirements.
– Support the design and validation of dashboards and reports using the new data warehouse.
Essential Skills:
– Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
– 3+ years of experience in data analysis and quality assurance.
– Strong SQL skills and familiarity with AWS data services (e.g., Redshift, Glue).
– Experience with data quality and data governance tools.
– Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
Desirable Skills:
– Experience with cloud data warehouses and ETL processes.
– Knowledge of compliance frameworks related to data retention and privacy.
– Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
