Project Manager
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow / Dundee, is currently looking to recruit a Project Manager for an initial 6 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of £482/day (Inside IR35). This role will be based onsite in Glasgow or Dundee.
Responsibilities:
– Lead one of the project teams using appropriate project management methodologies to establish, plan and deliver a complex project.
– Construct, manage and maintain comprehensive project documentation and implementation plans which drive and ensure successful change.
– Support the development and service of project governance structures within the agency ensuring alignment with delivery partner plans.
– Drive effective stakeholder relationships and engagement.
– Deliver effective decision making through comprehensive and accurate evaluations and robust recommendations.
– Manage and build capability in project and support team members providing guidance and support where required.
– Draft accurate, timely reports tracking project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
– Contribute to the development of all associated spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs, requirements and progress.
Essential Skills:
– Proven track record of using project management methodologies to establish, plan and deliver a complex project using robust project documentation and implementation plans which drive and ensure successful change.
– Excellent analytical skills to support effective decision making, effective risk and dependency management.
– Excellent leadership skills exemplified by the ability to work well with a diverse range of people and a passion for supporting others.
– Excellent communication skills to engage, translate requirements and successfully land change with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
– Project Management qualification (s) such as PRINCE2, APM or Agile Project Management
