Clerical Assistant
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Renfrewshire, is currently looking to recruit a Clerical Assistant for a 4 weeks contract on a rate of £12.32/hour (PAYE).
Responsibilities:
– Under supervision, engage with local managers, stakeholders and colleagues to build effective working relationships.
– Input and extract data using a range of electronic systems; in particular complaints, members enquiries, freedom of information, insurance financial and statistical information, in accordance with the organisation’s policies on data protection and information security.
– Undertake clerical tasks, including word processing, document completion, receipting and recording of cash, mail, photocopying and filing.
– Compile routine and ad hoc statistical returns used to support the effective management of organisation’s activities.
– Complete routine data recording and analysis tasks e.g. registration, attendance, workflow, task status, fault logging, overtime, invoicing, payments, performance, leave recording.
– Perform reception duties; in particular being the first point of contact for visitors, along with dealing with telephone calls, email and web enquiries.
– Order and receipt goods and services using electronic systems.
– Adhere to the organisation’s commitment to health and safety, supporting attendance, equal opportunities and compliance with all relevant policies.
