PMO Lead – Outside IR35
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Programme Management Office Lead until 31st March 2025 on a rate of £400-450/day Outside IR35. This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office. Travel across the Glasgow area will be required.
Responsibilities:
– Lead the preparation and maintenance of programme documentation, reports, and presentations.
– Schedule and coordinate meetings, workshops, and other programme events.
– Support the Programme Manager in tracking project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
– Assist in the development and monitoring of programme plans, budgets, and schedules.
– Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure timely and effective communication and collaboration.
– Maintain accurate records of programme activities, decisions, and changes.
– Prepare and distribute regular status reports, meeting minutes, and action item lists.
– Ensure all programme documentation is stored in an organised and accessible manner.
– Assist in identifying, logging, and tracking programme risks and issues.
– Support the development of mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
– Identify opportunities for process improvements and support the implementation of enhancements.
– Participate in lessons learned sessions and contribute to the development of best practices.
Essential Skills:
– Proven experience in a similar support role within a PMO or project management environment.
– Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Desirable Skills:
– Certification in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is an advantage.
– Experience in a local authority and public sector would be advantageous.
