2 x Property Assistants
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Aberdeen, is currently looking to recruit x 2 Property Assistants for initial 3 month contracts on a rate of £13.45 per hour. These roles will be based in Aberdeen and the shifts available are Monday to Friday (9am to 9pm) and Saturday and Sunday (9pm to 9am). The overnight shifts will be paid at a premium rate from 11pm to 6am.
Responsibilities:
– Assist in the fulfilment of health and safety responsibilities
– Liaise with staff, Asset Management staff and Housing Tenants to provide a timeous response and repair to minor tasks e.g. change light bulb
– Undertake minor repairs as required
– Update and maintain records within time limited targets
– Provide a general support services to tenants
– Oversee general upkeep and cleanliness of communal areas
– Undertake grounds duties as required e.g. clearing leaves, lifting litter
Essential Skills:
– Academic achievement to SVQ2 level in a relative discipline or equivalent transferable experience and skills
– Full current valid driving licence
– Understanding of health and safety requirements in housing e.g. legionella safety requirements.
– Experience and a good understanding of working and supporting older people and people with particular needs e.g. a physical disability
– Experience of proving a high-quality maintenance and repair service on a planned and reactive basis
– An empathic approach with proven commitment to working with older people and people with particular needs
– A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and service demands
– Ability to work on own initiative
– Excellent organisation, interpersonal, communication skills
– Awareness of the importance of integrity, confidentially, diplomacy, and data protection
– Ability to travel
– Ability to undertake manual lifting
– No previous experience required. There will be clear direction for each fire alarm location and how to reset and access to the scheme and fire panel key will be available. Instruction on records required will also be available.
– Have good literacy skills to complete records.
– Will be required to drive and attend any scheme
