Admin Officer
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation is currently looking to recruit 2 x Admin Officers for a contract until 31st March 2026 on a rate of £15.73/hour (PAYE). This role is mainly working from home, although induction for this post and team meetings are held in Dundee and the successful candidates will be required to attend this location when required. 
 
Responsibilities: 
 
– Providing comprehensive administrative support for the delivery of training, including liaising with faculty, delegates and venues 
– Dealing with enquiries in an efficient and professional manner 
– Collating and generating feedback reports 
– Accurately recording expenditure, including faculty claim forms, catering and travel 
– Providing comprehensive technical support for the delivery of online training, including audiovisual tests, ‘hosting’ online courses and meeting and greeting delegates at the start of each delivery 
– Updating our Events Management System database on a daily basis 
– Providing administrative support 
– Diary management 
– Providing cross-cover as required 
 
Essential Skills: 
 
– Experience of working both independently and as part of a team, whilst balancing a range of competing priorities   
– Experience of supporting team meetings, webinars, events and/or conferences online 
– Ability to work with minimal supervision; to plan and prioritise own workloads, and that of your team; and to meet deadlines   
– Flexible approach to learning and problem solving  
– Commitment to own personal and professional development, and that of your team 
– Experience of providing technical assistance to delegates when participating in online workshops 
– Experience of providing diary management support 
– Highly developed customer service skills, with a helpful, flexible attitude 
– Understanding of the need for accuracy and attention to detail 
– Ability to respond to confidential and sensitive situations with confidence and discretion, utilising tact, diplomacy, and persuasion skills when necessary 
– Supervisory skills and experience including coaching and/or mentoring of team members  
– Proven expertise in using Microsoft 365, in particular Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint 
– Fast and accurate keyboard skills 
– Ability to meet the travel requirements of the post  
– Values driven approach to practice, aligned with organisation’s core values 
 
Desirable Skills: 
 
– HND/Advanced Diploma level qualification with in-depth experience  
or  
– SCQF Level 8 equivalence obtained via Professional Development Awards; Technical Apprenticeships; and SVQs
