Administration Support
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Shotts, is currently looking to recruit an Administration Support for an initial 3 month contract on a rate of £15.16/hour PAYE – working 35 hours per week. This role will be based in Shotts.
Responsibilities:
– Operating switchboard and passing on messages to relevant staff.
– Receive, scan and sort incoming mail. Collect, sort and bag for outgoing mail. Log all legal and privileged correspondence in line with procedures and policies.
– Inputting personal cash transactions onto the organisation’s records system.
– Inputting transactions on persons personal cash and ensuring that correct balances are passed to the cashier at the end of the day. Processing all local purchases and ensuring they balance.
– As part of a multi-functional team you will be required to provide relief cover in procurement, bag and tag and general admin tasks as specified by the Accounts Manager.
Essential Skills:
– A minimum of 2 standard grades at Grade 3 or above which should include English and Maths/Arithmetic or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience
– Competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc
– Ability to prioritise workload to meet departmental deadlines
– Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
– Ability to analyse, interpret and report on a range of information
– Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
