Administrative Assistant
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Support Secretary for a 20 week contract on a rate of £13.93/hour (PAYE).
Responsibilities:
– To audit and record accurate data migration from existing IT system to new system currently being implemented.
– To provide and deliver administrative support service to all Consultants providing a service.
– To ensure confidentiality is maintained in accordance with policies and Statutory legislation.
– To contribute to data collection and processing.
– Handling, filing and organisation of medical and clinical documentation, including patient results.
– Support with basic LIMS functions.
– Responsibility for weekly ordering through PECOS.
– Assist in the management of quality documentation.
– Assist in the update of policies and procedures.
– Preparation, minutes and booking for Lab-associated meetings.
Essential Skills:
– Desirable to have knowledge of information systems, and any background knowledge of services
– Excellent communication skills
– Excellent IT skills
– Experience in data handling and processing
– Demonstrate excellent organisational skills
– Highly developed interpersonal skills
– Highly developed tact and diplomacy
– A working knowledge of the GDPR
– Ability to work as part of a team
– Computer literacy and a working knowledge of office systems
– Numeracy and literacy skills
– Previous experience in a health care environment essential
– Demonstrate a high level of discretion and confidentiality
– Demonstrate a high level of flexibility with regard to work schedules
– Demonstrate the ability the operate effectively, under pressure and to strict guidelines
