Administrative Officer
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Falkirk, is currently looking to recruit 16 x Administrative Officers for an initial 6-month contract with potential to extend on a rate of £13.84/hour PAYE. The working hours are 37 hours per week. This role will be based onsite.


Responsibilities:
 
– To assist with the implementation of the operating procedures to fulfil the functions of the organisation.
– To provide information, advice and guidance to enquirers about the legislation and the functions of the organisation and deal appropriately with complaints.
– To review and register powers of attorney made under the provisions of the Act, updating the public register
– To process guardianship orders and intervention orders from the courts on initial receipt into OPG
– To process interlocutors and bonds of caution, reminding the court to provide these where appropriate and producing the certificate of authority to the guardian where necessary.
– To process death notifications, revocations, changes of address, register searches, requests for duplicates and general mail queries in relation to powers of attorney, or variations, replacements, renewals, recalls, death notifications and other general mail enquiries in relation to guardianship orders, linking documentation as appropriate, updating Sigma updating the Public Register accordingly.
– To provide administrative assistance to the Investigation section with all investigations into complaints or concerns in terms of section 6(2)(c) and (d) of the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000
– To maintain records, team logs, statistical sheets and collate other management information as required
– To make referrals under the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 and maintain records thereof
– will have regular contact with other partners as identified in the work relationships section as shown below. – As such you be required to competently answer queries giving consistent and reliable advice
– work as a team player and from time to time be involved in team discussions and coaching sessions to achieve best practice within the team 
– be responsible for your own time and management of your workload
