Analyst Business Partner
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh / Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit an Analyst Business Partner for an initial 3 month contract on a rate of £21.57-£26.26/hour PAYE – working 37 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
– Liaising with colleagues from across the organisation, providing specialist advice and guidance as required.
– Creating design proposals, presentations and mock-ups from client briefs.
– Full-cycle creative project management, delivering projects through every stage of the design and production process.
– Managing time effectively and multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring delivery of finished resources to set deadlines.
– Creation, development and delivery of high-quality graphic formats.
– Designing resources, including high-profile corporate materials.
– Adhering to and promoting the brand guidelines.
– Advocating for, and creation of, accessible resources
– Sourcing images and other graphic assets on a project-by-project basis.
– Contributing to the development of design team processes and procedures.
– Maintaining standards for asset storage and version control.
– Keeping accurate time records for work delivered
Essential Skills:
– High level of graphic design skills, including image creation and manipulation, page layout, knowledge of colour theory, visual hierarchy and use of typography.
– Experience of communicating with stakeholders and audiences at every level.
– Experience in a graphic design role
– Experience of print management
– Advice / problem solving experience
– Significant experience in the design, delivery and on-going management of e-learning and electronic services and systems e.g., e-learning, information management, learning management.
– Line management role including coaching and / or mentoring of team members.
– Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
– Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and animation processes
– Knowledge of print procurement processes
– Knowledge of accessible design principles.
– Understanding of e-learning design
– Understanding of adaptive / responsive design for a range of devices.
– Ability to work with minimal supervision and to meet deadlines
– Ability in planning, organising and prioritising work effectively
– Strong working knowledge of standard Microsoft packages (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as confidence using MS Teams, MS Project and SharePoint
– Advanced keyboard skills with proven speed and accuracy
– Ability to confidently facilitate team meetings online.
– Understanding of the need for accuracy and attention to detail
– Ability to plan workload for team, ensuring that all work is completed within the required timeframe whilst maintain high standards and providing exceptional levels of customer service
– Highly developed customer service skills, with a helpful, flexible attitude
– Ability to meet the travel requirements of the post – this post requires regular presence at our Glasgow / Edinburgh offices

Desirable Skills:
– HND / Advanced Diploma level qualification with indepth experience OR SCQF Level 8 equivalence obtained via Professional Development Awards (e.g., CIPD); Technical Apprenticeships; and SVQs
– Experience of working flexibly in complex, changing and sensitive environments where the parameters of the job are not necessarily clearly defined
– Experience of CMS design, e.g., Umbraco
– Strong understanding of the application of GDPR to the storage and use of participant information and data privacy
– Ability to collate and produce reports and statistical information
