Assistant Finance Manager
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager for as soon as possible for an initial 6-month contract on a rate of £20.22/hour PAYE. This role will be hybrid working with 2 days in the office per week.
Candidates will need a Basic Disclosure Scotland certificate dated within last 3 months or willing to apply.
Responsibilities:
– Contribute to the timely and accurate completion of budgeting monitoring and reporting exercises.
– Support the provision of regular, high quality financial information and analysis, developing and using knowledge of local directorate and policy issues.
– Build and maintain effective working relationships with business areas and the wider finance team.
– Provide support and advice on finance and governance related issues, the application of robust financial controls, and specific commissions to the Finance Business Partner, other directorates and financial accounting team as required.
– Assist as required in the preparation and collation of the organisation’s Annual Report and Accounts and liaise with internal and external audit.
Essential Skills:
– Understanding of Forecasting
– Strong understanding of Data Analysis
– Expert knowledge of Interrogation of finance systems
