Assistant Group Manager-Quantity Surveying
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Group Manager – Quantity Surveying on a permanent basis on a salary of £51,456 – £59,736/annum, excellent holidays and pension scheme. Role offers great work life balance. This role will be based Glasgow. Hybrid working, working onsite 5 days from 10.
Responsibilities:
– Responsible for commercial aspects of projects.
– Managing resources.
– Advising and administering various forms of construction contract.
– Supporting and developing the team and managing external consultants where required.
Essential Skills:
– Educated to a minimum HND level in Quantity Surveying + 5 years minimum experience
– Good computer skills
– Competent in Excel
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to self-manage and to progress multiple submissions in parallel.
– Knowledge of prices and cost planning information
– Knowledge of legal and contractual issues in relation to construction
– Commitment to continuous service improvement.
– Commitment to delivery of high-quality service
Desirable Skills:
– Membership of a relevant professional Institute
– Relevant Degree
– Experience in Masterbill
– Knowledge of public sector processes and protocols.
