Business Analyst
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Business Analyst for a contract until 30th September 2026 with possible extension on a rate of c.£450/day (Inside IR35). This role will be hybrid based.
Responsibilities:
– Carry out comprehensive research into current operations (including people, structures, processes, information flows, data, and technology), to support the implementation of change identified as priority within the business group and to help shape solutions that will enhance corporate service delivery
– Conduct thorough business analysis to uncover challenges, opportunities, and improvement areas within corporate services, while maintaining a holistic perspective on end-to-end service journeys.
– Pinpoint and assess potential areas for improvement, weighing the feasibility and impact of proposed changes, and defining clear measures of success for enhanced service delivery and user experience
– Gather and clarify user and business needs to inform the effective design, development, and testing of new or optimised corporate services, ensuring alignment with broader strategic priorities
– Utilise analytical insights to support prioritisation decisions, define minimum viable products, and guide service transformation from both a strategic and operational perspective
Essential Skills:
– Proven experience of working in a complex environment in a corporate strategy or lead business management role engaging with senior management.
– Proven experience of developing, implementing and maintaining performance reporting, business planning, risk management and resourcing systems.
– Excellent data analysis skills and the ability to present complex information in a clear and balanced manner, with accuracy and conciseness
– Ability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation with strong emotional intelligence, deploying a different approach when necessary
– Ability to identify and effectively present opportunities for improvement and propose new ways of working to drive efficiencies and increase quality of performance reporting and other related strategic and operational activities
