Business Change Manager
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh/Inverness, is currently looking to recruit a Business Change Manager for a contract until 17th August 2026 on a rate of up to £600/day (Outside IR35). The working hours for this role is 3 days per week with at least one day per week in the office.
Responsibilities:
– This interim worker will be responsible for planning and implementing a series of business change activities in relation to one or more projects within the Portfolio.
– They will work with business colleagues to maximise the uptake of new capabilities in the business once they have been delivered and be responsible for managing the realisation of benefits.
Essential Skills:
– A strong track record (minimum five years) of driving a business change programme to deliver transformative organisational change.
– Experience of benefits realisation management.
– Experience of effectively engaging stakeholders across all levels in the organisation.
– Experience of collaborating effectively across multiple teams.
– The ability to resolve conflict that may arise between teams / individuals.
– Outstanding written, verbal and digital communication skills.
– A recognised change management qualification or equivalent experience in change management methods, techniques and tools.
– In-depth knowledge and experience of using various tools (management and collaboration tools) to help drive projects and programmes forward.
– Experience of managing and delivering projects with a strong commercial element (e.g., development of new commercial models) and capable of interacting with external suppliers.
– Experience to select the most appropriate and effective approach to business change management for the relevant project context.
– Experience of developing and/or commissioning effective business change products (e.g., change plans, communication plans, digital communications, workshops/roadshows, end-user training programmes).
Desirable Skills:
– Experience of business change in a public sector environment.
– Proficient in business analysis, and articulation of business process improvements, as it pertains to identification of business benefits.
– Experience of working in a similar environment.
– Experience of contributing to, refining and maintaining the different perspectives of a Blueprint or Target Operating Model (TOM).
