Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Scottish Borders, is currently looking to recruit 2x Class 2 Drivers. These roles will be temporary contracts. The hours for these roles be 37 hours. The working pattern for these roles will be on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday start time of 07:30 and a finishing time of 15:15 and on Wednesday start time of 07:30 and a finishing time of 16:00.

 

Responsibilities:

 

– Ensuring work is undertaken, carried out and completed according to instructions received.

– Ensuring that safe working practices are adopted in accordance with instructions given.

– Ensuring all vehicles and plant are operated in accordance with instructions and appropriate daily vehicle checks are carried out.

– To take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of the refuse collectors within your team.

– To ensure that the Service’s responsibilities in relation to Health and Safety are achieved by implementing, promoting and monitoring safe working practices and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and the Corporate and Service Health and Safety Policy.

 

Essential Skills: 

 

– Class 2 Driver Licence.
