Cleaning Operative
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Shotts, is currently looking to recruit a Cleaning Operative for a 3 month contract on a rate of £13.76 PAYE. This is a part time role working 15 hours Monday-Friday.
 
Responsibilities:
 
– Perform cleaning duties in accordance with established protocols and schedules
– Ensure all areas are cleaned to the highest standard
– Clean and sanitise open plan office, boardroom, restrooms, tea point, staircase and lift
–  Perform cleaning duties as directed, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and sanitising surfaces
– All surfaces to be cleaned, dried and sanitised
– Emptying waste bins and disposing of rubbish and maintain in a hygienic state; liners replaced and removal of waste to designated area within the premises
–  Replenishing paper towels, soaps, toilet rolls, bin bags/liners as required
– Maintain cleaning products and restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as necessary
– Correct storage of all chemicals and cleaning products
– Work independently and efficiently to complete cleaning tasks
– Adhere to health and safety guidelines and company policies
– Surfaces, such as filing cabinets, window sills etc. to be dusted, cleaned, dried and sanitised
– Clean under/behind office machinery
– Fridges to be cleaned including the removal of any out-of-date food stuff
– Skirting boards, light switches, electrical sockets to be wiped with damp cloth or dusted as appropriate
– Wall hangings to be cleaned as appropriate
 
Essential Skills:
 
– Previous cleaning experience required
