Clerical Assistant
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Livingston, is currently looking to recruit a Clerical Assistant for a 3 month contract on a rate of £13.26/hour (PAYE).
Responsibilities:
– Confident in the use of IT systems
– Excellent communication and organisational skills
– Prioritising tasks to meet competing demands
– Manage incoming and outgoing mail, logging and responding where appropriate
– Input and maintain accurate records to a range of systems including databases, spreadsheets, payment systems, office diaries etc.
– Undertake Printing, photocopying and scanning duties as required, ensuring compliance with the information security policies and procedures
– Maintain and effective filing system in line with document handling procedures and to enable accurate retrieval of any required files and associated archive and destruction ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
– Accuracy and attention to detail
– Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters
Essential Skills:
– Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with service users, colleagues and managers at all levels.
– Good organisational skills
– Ability to work flexibly to meet competing and unforeseen demands and to tight deadlines
– Confident in the use of IT systems
