Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Thurso, is currently looking to recruit 2x Community Works Operative for contracts until October 2024 with an option to extend for an additional period on a rate of £12.45 PAYE. The working hours for this role will be 7.30am to 4pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 7.30 to 2pm Wednesday and 7.30am to 15.00 Friday.

 

Responsibilities:

 

– Loading refuse and recycling collection vehicles, assisting with bulky collections, street sweeping and other related tasks.

 

Essential Skills:

 

– Awareness of Health & Safety within a working environment

– Ability to work as part of a team

– Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and the public

– Good level of fitness

– Able to manage simple forms and paperwork as required 7. (Manual handling certificate or the ability to attain qualification.)

 

Desirable Skills:

 

– Full valid UK Driver’s License if possible (Preferred)

– Educational qualification or equivalent to a Scottish National 4 or better.
