Content Coordinator
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Stirling, is currently looking to recruit a Content Coordinator for an initial 4 month contract with possible month extension, on a rate of £15.06/hour PAYE – working 35 hours per week. This role will be hybrid working.
 
As a Content Coordinator you will create, commission and deliver a variety of content that engages, educates and inspires the wider organisations audiences. This is a diverse content role, with outputs including publications, film, physical interpretation, digital communications, and digital learning.
 
Responsibilities:15.06
 
– Engage proactively with the Technical Conservation (TC) Content Team and wider colleagues across the organisation to understand priorities and support the delivery of a broad range of projects and outputs. The primary focus being on content-focused projects from the TC work programme. 
– Assist with the planning, coordination, and delivery of multimedia content that champions knowledge, skills, and materials.
– Edit, design, and publish outputs from projects, research, learning and guidance. This will include the design of accessible PDF documents.
– Compile, write and build the monthly newsletter, with management support from the Content Officer and Content Manager.
– Write and commission blogs, with support from Content Manager and Digital Officers for publishing.
– Activity lead on smaller content creation projects.
– Support team to deliver short film projects, this could include sourcing quotes and logistics planning. 
– Support the management of TC Content Team exhibitions and equipment kept in storage. Transport equipment, materials, and publications from storage to site as needed.
– Personal responsibility for content quality and ensuring that content you develop is consistent with brand guidelines, editorial guidelines, and accessibility standards.  Offering editorial advice to colleagues when collaborating on projects.
– Contribute to the development of the TC Digital Offer.
– Support wider administration for the team, and complete finance administration associated with projects you are working on. 
– Coordinate with a range of internal colleagues and external contractors such as designers, researchers, printers, illustrators, and filmmakers.   
– Required to travel intermittently, to accommodate activities such as filming on location, meeting contractors at a site to specify interpretation work, or visiting a site to inform project work. 
– Flexible approach to hybrid working, able to work both from home and from the office in Stirling as agreed.
– Responsible to the Content Officer for ensuring work is delivered and carried out in accordance with policies and procedures, ensuring the health and wellbeing of yourself and the team.
 
Essential Skills:
 
– A creative thinker, with ability to source/solve problems and provide fresh insight.
– Ability to review, evaluate and give feedback to improve content for readability and accuracy.
– Experience of following brand, editorial or accessibility guidelines.
– Experience in delivering content for newsletters, blogs, websites, or social media.
– Ability to use elements of the Adobe Suite to create and edit outputs, such as publications using InDesign and visual assets in Photoshop. 
– Ability to use Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office packages.
– Understanding of importance of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
 
Desirable Skills:
 
– Understanding of importance of following copyright and licensing process for all content, particularly images. 
– Interest in, or knowledge of, building conservation, traditional skills and materials.
– CPD and/or accredited qualifications in accessibility, copyediting, graphic or content design.
– Experience in contributing to the creative production process for films and/or interpretation.
