Content Designer
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Content Designer for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of £400-£450/day (Inside IR35). This role can be hybrid working or fully remote based.
Responsibilities:
– Designing templates that allow content editors to create new content nodes based on predefined structures.
– Setting up document types that define what kind of content can be created and how it is organized within the CMS.
– Regularly updating and publishing content, ensuring it meets quality standards and aligns with the overall content strategy.
– Handling media files such as images, videos, PDFs, ensuring they are properly integrated into the website content.
– Querying and rendering published content and media items to ensure they display correctly on the website.
– Utilizing partial views to manage reusable content components within templates.
– Working closely with developers to ensure the content structure supports the website’s functionality and user experience.
Essential Skills:
– Umbraco or other similar CMS experience (Drupal, WordPress, Joomla)
– Figma, Balsamiq or Axure expertise for wireframing
– Experience working in an agile multidisciplinary team
– Experience in content prototyping techniques and patterns
– Development experience of making complex language, user journeys and processes accessible and easy to understand
