Content Producer
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Content Producer from mid-January 2025 for 3 months with potential to extend on a rate of £14.83/hour PAYE. This role will be a hybrid of home and office working after initial onsite training. The working hours are 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
– Use appropriate software to produce materials effectively, accurately and to agreed timescales
– Identify requirements to ensure that tasks are completed accurately, timeously and within organisation policies and procedures
– Provide updates on progress against plan and report on the status of risks to ensure all tasks are completed within specified deadlines
– Contribute to the organisation’s continuous improvement initiatives through identification, analysis and recommendation of process improvements, efficiency savings and potential required changes to policy within own area of work
– Conduct system/UAT testing to ensure systems are fit for purpose
– Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure a high level of customer service
– Respond to queries and provide advice and guidance to stakeholders regarding specific policies and procedures
– Produce documentation and correspondence relating to procedures to ensure that policy and procedure is accurately reflected and all information is up to date
– Collate, track and analyse information/reports in order to help inform decisions
– Proof read documents for spelling, style and grammar
– Upload materials to the website for their area of work where required
Essential Skills:
– As a minimum, be educated to SCQF level 6 or be able to demonstrate direct relevant experience for the role
– For Graphic Artists, a background/experience of working in a commercial environment would be beneficial as would be a portfolio of work
– For DTPs, experience of working in a similar environment would be beneficial with relevant desk top publishing experience preferably gained in a pressurised environment
– For e-Content Producers, experience of authoring of material for e-assessments would be beneficial
– Be able to operate specialist non-standard software e.g. The Adobe Creative Suite of products
– Be able to operate software packages and business systems at the appropriate level for the role and be willing to develop new IT skills
– Be able to understand and carry out basic numerical and/or financial calculations and analyse data
– Be a confident communicator both verbal and written
– Demonstrate a customer oriented and flexible approach
– Have good planning and organisational skills
– Contribute to team work and have the ability to work on own initiative
– Have good problem solving skills
– Demonstrate attention to detail and possess a methodical and focused approach to work
