Cook
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh/Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Cook as soon as possible until mid-November on a rate of £11.44/hour PAYE or £14.87/hour Umbrella. This role will be based onsite. The working hours are 4 days x 4 hours per day and additional hours may be offered. Working every other weekend 9.30am – 1.30pm will be required.
Responsibilities:
– The role is to cook and prepare, cook and serve food and beverages to tenants and visitors attending extra care housing and to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen which meet Food Safety Standards.
– To cater for approximately 30 meals a day, in the preparation of food and to include the preparation.
– To prepare a weekly menu
– To set up the service area for meals. Service of meals ensuring good food presentation.
– Washing up of crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils, ensuring good Health and Safety, COSHH practices, Safer Food Better Business
Essential Skills:
– Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
