Customer Service Reception
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Dalkeith, is currently looking to recruit a part time receptionist for an initial 3-month contract with potential to extend on a rate of £14.33 per hour PAYE. This role will be working on site in Dalkeith. The working hours are:
Monday 9-5 (30 min lunch break)
Tuesday 9-5 (30 min lunch break)
Wednesday 9-2 (optional)
Friday 9-5 (30 mi lunch break )
Applicants need to have a basic disclosure Scotland certificate or willing to apply.
Responsibilities:
You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors and residents, providing a warm welcome and clear signposting to the right services.
What you’ll do:
-Greet, support and signpost customers effectively to relevant services, officers and departments.
-Work collaboratively with colleagues across the council.
-Use IT systems confidently to handle enquiries and update information.
-Maintain reception are to ensure a professional environment.
Essential Skills:
-Previous reception experience or strong front-line face to face customer service background
-Confident communicator with goods interpersonal skills and a calm and friendly manner
-Strong organisation and multitasking abilities
-Good level of IT skills and confidence using digital systems
