Data Protection Officer
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Fife, is currently looking to recruit a Data Protection Officer for a 6 month contract on a rate of £21.57 – £26.28/hour (PAYE).
Responsibilities:
– Provide independent, expert advice on UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and wider information governance legislation.
– Offer strategic challenge and assurance on data protection risks, digital programmes, and major transformation initiatives.
– Strengthen Board-level decision-making by ensuring data ethics, transparency, and public trust remain central to organisational priorities.
– Support oversight of information-sharing, security governance, and data-driven service development.
– Champion the rights of individuals whose data is held, promoting a culture of accountability and integrity.
