Data Support Officer
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh/Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit an Data Support Officer for a 12 week contract on a rate of £158.10/day (Inside IR35). This role will be hybrid.
Responsibilities:
– To support and influence the implementation and delivery of strategies in inventory & materials control.
– To carry out stock takes within areas to support the rollout of Programme.
– To assist in data collection and stock management.
– To assist in providing training to staff on the use of handheld barcode scanners.
– To effectively carry out inventory duties, ensuring that the targets, policies and procedures in terms of stock management and control are adhered to.
Essential Skills:
– Knowledge of inventory management processes and a full understanding of the mechanics of stock management best practices.
– Good working knowledge of mainstream commercial e-Procurement, Logistics, Finance and associated solutions
– Skills in data collection, extraction, analysis and dissemination of product and stock management information.
– Analytical skills
– Experience of working flexibly with team members and customers across a variety of business settings.
Desirable Skills:
– Evidence of excellent organisation skills and communication skills with both technical and non-technical people
– Ideally experience as an Inventory / Material Control professional.
– Pro-actively manage and prioritise own workload.
– Ability to reassign priorities to meet deadlines in a changing environment
– Self-motivation and ability to think logically
