Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Scotland, is currently looking to recruit 2 x Developer for 6 month contracts on rates of £500-550/day InsideIR35
 
Responsibilities: 
 
– Translate business and user requirements into application features. 
– Develop quality code that is (re)usable, secure and accessible. 
– Work with colleagues to agree and implement coding standards, design patterns and version control workflows and to maintain appropriate documentation.  
– Review existing code to reprogram, refactor, update and add new features. 
 
Essential Skills: 
 
– Excellent interpersonal skills that contribute to collaborative/team working and customer orientated service provision. 
– A continuous improvement, learning and flexible mindset. 
– Experience of working within a delivery-focused scrum team within a fast-paced, evolving environment. 
– Proven, demonstrable experience of full-stack web development, DevOps and CI/CD with the following technical skills: 
– Front end: GOV.UK Design System (GDS), HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, Typescript, Nunjucks. 
– Back-end: PostgreSQL, Prisma ORM, Sequalize, JavaScript, Typescript. 
– Frameworks:Express or Hapi. 
– Testing: Jest, Newman, Cypress, Ava. 
– DevOps:  Node.js, GitHub Actions, AWS, Terraform, Docker.
