Development Support Officer
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Development Support Officer for a contract until 23rd December 2025, although it may be extend into January. The rate of pay is £17.52/hour (PAYE).
Candidates must have a basic disclosure Scotland certificate dated within last 3 months or be willing to apply.
Responsibilities:
– Support for writing and tendering short terms project contracts with a value <£5K
– Supporting Head of Development as required with financial and budget monitoring tracking and reporting across different budget cost centres
– Manage small scale marketing collateral projects already underway, mostly liaison with marketing teams and designers
– Supporting fundraising activity with the development of content and collateral to support existing partnerships
– Provide administrative support for Head of Development
– Work with Business Support team as directed by the Business Manager to ensure business continuity through a period of personnel change
Essential Skills:
– Established track record in administration or project planning and delivery in a fast paced environment
– Excellent organisational skills
– Able to communicate concisely and clearly in writing and in person
– Quick to establish relationships with others and work effectively as part of a team
– Highly organised individual who is able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, plan time effectively and work autonomously where required.
Desirable Skills:
– Budget monitoring and management
– Experience of writing simple tender documents and approaching companies to tender for work
– Experience of developing marketing collateral or writing promotional content
