Emergency Ops Administrator
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in East of England (Stevenage), is currently looking to recruit an Emergency Operations Administrator for a until 31st January 2025 contract on a rate of £12.31/hour PAYE.
Responsibilities:
– Responsible for day-to-day administrative duties and any other relevant duties, as requested including HR paperwork, ad hoc reports, and gathering information for complaints.
– Undertake secretarial and administrative duties, preparing documents with a high degree of accuracy, as required by the Management Team, including confidential letters and reports.
– Facilitate the planning and release of staff to attend training programmes, ensuring the appropriate numbers of instructors and students are abstracted. Inform staff of the relevant information for any training courses such as location, date and time, and update records accordingly.
– Participate in formal meetings within the area; to take notes/minutes, prepare and distribute agendas, and any other relevant papers.
– Establish and maintain office systems both paper and electronic to a high standard.
– Produce planned reports such as sickness absence monitoring information, annual leave analysis, and control room sheets and other ad hoc reports, as required.
Essential Skills:
– Must have basic DBS or be prepared to apply for one.
– Educated to NVQ 3 level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification, or significant equivalent previous proven experience.
– Demonstrable experience of working in an administrative environment and working with computerised data systems.
– Trained or willing to work towards Loggist training.
– Clear communicator with good writing, data entry, and telephone skills.
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
– Problem solving skills.
– Must be able to maintain confidentiality and trust.
– Flexible approach to work.
– Able to work on own initiative, organising and prioritising own workload to set deadlines.
– Understanding of, and commitment to, equality of opportunity and good working relationships.
