Finance Assistant
enesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Kilmarnock, is currently looking to recruit a Finance Assistant for a 6 month contract on a rate of £16.22/hour (PAYE).
Responsibilities:
– The effective use of all systems, facilities and resources at your disposal to ensure the provision of an effective and efficient Financial service within the confines of the Financial policies.
– Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and value for money.
– Respond to and follow up Financial specific enquiries sensitively, timeously and professionally, ensuring accurate and impartial information and advice falls within the confines of the relevant policies and legislation.
– Regular tasks include but not limited to; payment of invoices within agreed timescales, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to monthly reporting accruals and pre-payments, fixed assets & portable & attractive assets.
– As part of a multi-functional team you will be required to perform other tasks/ relief cover as specified by the Finance Manager.
Essential Skills:
– Minimum of 2 National 5 (or equivalent) qualifications, including English and Mathematics or Arithmetic, or relevant experience gained in a similar role and/or environment.
– Sound knowledge and experience of working with financial policies and procedures with the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
– Competent and experienced in the use of ICT tools, including Microsoft Office.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to analyse, interpret and report on a range of information. Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
