Finance Assistant
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Stirling, is currently looking to recruit a Finance Assistant for a 3 month contract on a rate of £14.56–£15.68/Hour (PAYE). This role will be hybrid based.
Responsibilities:
– Provide business support to a team or functional area in accordance with systems and procedures.
– Respond to and handle routine correspondence and general enquiries electronically or verbally.
– Pass information and queries received to the correct part (or parts) of the organisation to allow organisation to fulfil its statutory functions and obligations.
– Input, maintain and interrogate records and systems both manually and electronically in accordance with legislative and procedural requirements such as processing applications for licences and issue of appropriate statutory notices.
– Respond to, or assist in the response to, external and internal queries in accordance with agreed deadlines or Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
– Carry out basic financial checks/reconciliation, order basic supplies.
– Fully adhere and comply with Health & Safety Policy.
Essential Skills:
– Relevant experience or qualification equivalent to SCQF Level 4-5 qualification (e.g. National 4/5 school qualification).
– Ability to interpret information and process it according to standard operating guidelines and procedures.
– Competent written and oral communications skills.
– Demonstrate good team working skills as well as a flexible approach to work activities.
