Finance Officer
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Finance Officer for an initial 6 month contract with potential to extend for a further 6 months on a rate of £19.55-£23.65/hour PAYE. This role will be hybrid working but will be mostly home based. Attendance to in person meetings in our Glasgow when required.
Responsibilities:
– Posting Journals, reconciling accounts and running reports when required.
– Supporting the Senior Business Accountant with all tasks around the transition programme.
– Supporting the ongoing BAU and Programme work within the organisation.
– Attending internal meetings as and when required
Essential Skills:
– As a minimum be educated to SCQF Level 8 (HND/Degree in a financial discipline) and/or be a part qualified accountant associated with one of the CCAB accounting bodies or be able to demonstrate at least 3 years of direct relevant experience for the role.
– Be able to operate desk top packages and business systems at the appropriate level for this role.
– Be able to understand and carry out complex numerical and or financial calculations and analyse data at the appropriate level for this role.
– Excellent MS Excel skills are desirable
