Finance Officer
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Inverness / Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Finance Officer for a contract until 27th October 2025 with a possibility to extend on a rate of £15.52. This role will be primarily working from home with an option to work in either Inverness or Edinburgh office.
You must have a Disclosure Scotland / BPSS clearance or prepared to apply for one.
Responsibilities:
– Processing of purchase orders on financial system.
– Process invoice batches post authorisation into financial system.
– Assist with the management of finance team mailbox in Outlook, ensuring all mail is dealt with efficiently and effectively.
– Providing assistance to contract managers in financial administration of contracts.
– Create supplier accounts.
– Complete month end recs such as journal checks & monthly spend checks ( GPC & EEMS).
– Support Finance Support Manager with any ad hoc tasks.
Essential Skills:
– Experience of working in a financial administrative role.
– Experience of working in a role which requires attention to detail.
– Experience of working in a role that requires multi-tasking.
– Excellent time management skills.
– Working well both as part of a team and individually.
Desirable Skills:
– Competent use of accounting software packages such as SAGE, ORACLE, eFinancials or similar.
