Finance Officer
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Inverness / Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit 2 x Finance Officer for contracts until 1st June 2026 with the possibility of extension on a rate of £21.43
Responsibilities:
– Accurately enter and process supplier invoices for purchase order and for non-purchase orders, in line with our No PO No Pay Policy
– Support the resolution of invoices that fail 3-way matching
– Work closely with Procurement and Regional teams to support invoice processing and issue resolutions
– Identify and escalate recurring issues and suggest opportunities for continuous improvement
– Assist in ensuring data entered into Oracle is correct and accurate
– Ensure VAT and CIS calculations are deducted correctly in line with HMRC guidelines
Essential Skills:
– Proven experience of working in a financial administration role or accounts payable team.
– The ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
– Good time management and prioritisation skills.
– Communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to problem solve, on your own and with others.
Desirable Skills:
– Competent use of accounting software packages such as SAGE, ORACLE, or similar.
