Financial Systems Accountant
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation with various locations across England, is currently looking to recruit a Financial Systems Accountant for an initial 12 month fixed term contract on a salary of £35,000 – £43,500 pro-rata – depending on location and experience. This role will be hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week in one of the offices (Bristol, Manchester, York, Cambridge, Newcastle, Birmingham and Swindon).
Responsibilities:
– Help maintain and develop the organisations and our customers’ financial systems, develop reports and provide support to users as part of a shared service.
– You will lead on financial systems reporting strategy, including creating, maintaining and enhancing reports (using Crystal Reports and XQuery), as well as the Excel based management information system and other management reporting tools.
– To resolve support issues, you will Interrogate and manipulate the MS SQL database.
– Working with software suppliers, you will implement new releases, resolving software issues and identifying areas for improvement.
Essential Skills:
– Experience of supporting a finance system of over 250 users.
– Experience of financial or performance reporting
– Experience of MS SQL, Crystal Reports and XQuery.
– A willingness to get involved and work collaboratively with team colleagues and the wider business.
– Ability to problem solve with attention to detail.
