Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Front-End Developer for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of £500-£550/day (Inside IR35). This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.
 
Responsibilities:
 
To work on applications such as a web catalogue and middleware for our new Platform.  The work will include:

– Connecting to APIs to use third party services including a headless CMS
– Styling web pages according to the organisation’s branding guidelines
– Writing unit and end to end tests to support the project
 
Essential Skills:
 
– Next.js development experience
– React
– SQL
– Good knowledge and implementation experience of modern CSS
– End-to-end and unit testing experience
– Experience with APIs
 
Desirable Skills:
 
– Typescript
– Postgres
– Vitest experience
– Playwright experience
– DrizzleORM
– Jenkins
