Gardeners
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Ayr, is currently looking to recruit x 5 Seasonal Chargehand Gardeners for an initial 3 month contracts on a rate of £13.48/hour PAYE – working 7.15am-4.15pm Monday-Thursday and Friday 7am-1pm for full time. For part time Monday-Thursday 7.15am-4.15pm. Full time roles will focus on housing and part time on open space maintenance. These roles will be based in Ayr.
Responsibilities:
– Manage the team on a day-to-day basis
– Complete the necessary Paperwork on a daily basis
– General maintenance including grass cutting and ground maintenance
– Assisting higher graded gardeners under minimal supervision
– Following oral and written instructions
– Operation of ground care equipment – powered hand tools, ride on plant machinery including inspection, routine maintenance and cleaning
– Implement good Health & Safety Practices & Standards in the workplace
– To apply and adhere to policies and procedures
– Ensure adherence to relevant legislation, external policy and safe practices
– To carry out such other duties consistent with the post if and when required or instructed
– Carry out duties consistent with the post as may be required by your Line Manager.
