HR Administrative Assistant
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit an HR Admin Assistant for a 6 month contract. Depending on experience the rate will be between £15.55 and £16.40. This is a Hybrid role.
Responsibilities:
– We are looking for an HR Administrator who will be involved in Recruitment, with duties such as creating person specs and adverts, drafting invitations to interview, drafting Offer Letters, creating induction plans and copying Right to Work Documentation.
– Regular monitoring of the HR inbox and triaging emails to the correct place and escalating what is urgent etc. Replying to messages to acknowledge or to respond to lower-level complexity of query.
– Chasing up approvals for carry forward of annual leave, change forms, OH referrals, Probations and Increments.
– Responding to day-to-day HR queries.
– Supporting HR advisor in preparation of templates and updating those e.g. contracts and working pattern changes.
– Supporting HR advisor in pulling data from systems for reporting purposes.
– Organising the HR filing system – keeping records up to date in keeping with GDPR and records management policy.
– Updating the Organisational Chart on the intranet.
Essential Skills:
– Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office packages, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
– Ability to organise and work under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines.
– Self-motivated person with excellent organisational, communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
– High level of attention to detail
– Can adhere to all GDPR guidelines and maintains high levels of confidentiality at all times.
– Ability to prioritise own work according to business need and to be adaptable, to be able to shift focus quickly from task to task.
Desirable Skills:
– Working towards CIPD qualification
– Excel- formulae, pivot tables.
