HR Assistant
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit an HR Assistant for a 4 – 8 weeks contract on a rate of £14.48/hour (PAYE).
A PVG be required for this role, to work with young adults and children. This role is based on site, and Hybrid working is not available. The role is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
– Provide a pro-active, professional, and timely HR administration service, assisting the HR Managers, HR Advisers and HR Officers as required.
– Provide administrative and system support in relation to all areas of the HR function including; recruitment and selection, probationary reviews, attendance management, maternity leave, capability, discipline, and grievance processes etc.
– Contribute to the maintenance of the HR System by ensuring accurate input, report running and retrieval of data, where required.
– Manage own workload in line with other HR Assistants to ensure timeous completion of scheduled tasks.
– Ensure accuracy of all information produced and processed.
Essential Skills:
– Certificate in HR Practice or alternative HR qualification and/or work experience of 2+ years in HR administration level role
– Advanced user (2+years) of working with an HR system (inputting data, running reports etc)
– Excellent communication, liaison and relationship building skills
– Working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, and databases
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines
– Accuracy and attention to detail when entering data into systems, compiling letters, contracts etc.
Desirable Skills:
– Evidence of continuous professional development
– An understanding of employment law and legislation relevant to the HR function
– Evidence of process improvement in previous roles
