HR Consultant
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit an HR Consultant for a contract up to October 2025 on a day rate of circa £500 (inside IR35).  This role will require either support one day per week, or on an ad hoc basis as required. Working arrangements will be discussed with the board level manager.
 
Responsibilities:
 
– To provide a board level manager with senior and sensitive HR advice. 
– You will need to quickly establish yourself as a trusted advisor, providing best practice, justifiable employment advice.
– We need someone who can think on their feet and fill in gaps where process might not exist. 
 
Essential Skills:
 
– CIPD qualified.
– Experience of successfully navigating and providing sound advice in relation to complex HR issues.
– Ability to operate autonomously without pre-established HR policies in place.
– Able to quickly gain the trust of senior stakeholders due to the credibility of HR advice provided.
– Experienced in, and a sound understanding of:
– Dispute resolution, disciplinaries and grievances;
– Settlements;
– TUPE;
– Employment law.
