HR Specialist
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a HR Specialist for an initial 3 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of £400/day (Inside IR35). This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.
Responsibilities:
– Lead and support the implementation phase of our Reward Strategy/Benefits Review, ensuring smooth transition from design to delivery. This includes leading / supporting reward, employee relations and employee engagement aspects of the project.
– Translate recommendations into clear, actionable implementation plans, timelines, and communications.
– Work closely with P&C, Finance, and senior leadership to ensure alignment and effective rollout of new reward/benefit structures, policies, and frameworks.
– Support the development and delivery of internal communications and people manager guidance related to reward/benefit changes.
– Support positive employee engagement throughout the change process, identifying risks and proposing mitigations.
– Full end to end case management of complex cases – advising line managers, setting up relevant formal meetings, keeping accurate notes, typing up & issuing letters. Ensuring processes progress in a timely manner & complying with all relevant policies and employment law.
– Experienced individual with ability to support employees and line managers to progress cases with confidence, seeking senior stakeholder where required.
– Policy review and updates – confidently review and update people policies
– Create a suite of template letters and checklists for employee relations (flex work requests, capability, long term absence)
– Coach and upskill people managers to effectively handle ER matters.
– Offer flexible, interim support to ensure continuity and momentum during this critical phase.
