ISO External Assurance Consultant – Outside IR35
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a ISO External Assurance Consultant for an initial 10 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of £450/day Outside IR35. This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office. This role will be part time with an expected 35 days per annum required.
Responsibilities:
– The post holder will work as an independent intermediary alongside the in house resource in the creation, certification by accredited third parties and ongoing development of an Information Security Management & Privacy System.
– The development and execution of a sample-based Information Security Management Internal audit process for all area of the Paying Agency functions.
– Transfer of Information Security Knowledge to staff at varying levels from MSc level for the Head of Information security through to security awareness for Paying agency and Delivery Partners staff.
Essential Skills:
– A minimum of three years’ experience in supporting business in the creation, certification by accredited third parties and ongoing development of an ISO 27001:2022 management system. Evidence of supporting businesses through additional complimentary standards such as ISO27701 and updating the existing Information & Privacy Management.
– A minimum of three years’ experience in supporting business in the development and execution of a sample-based Information Security Management Internal audit process to meet ISO Information Management and Privacy specifications.
– Experience in supporting the transfer of Information Security Knowledge all staff at every level of the organisation.
Desirable Skills:
– Working with public sector organisations in the implementation of Information Security Management & Privacy systems.
– Experience of contributing to or part of a standards committee (e.g. UK ISO Committee)
