Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Wishaw, is currently looking to recruit 15 x Laundry Assistants for contracts until 12th April 2027 on a rates of £12.78/hour (PAYE).  
 
Responsibilities: 
 
– Categorising dirty linen  
– Feeding work to and unloading work from industrial ironing and folding equipment 
– Packing & folding linen items 
– Cleaning equipment and laundry in general 
– Pushing & pulling cages of linen 
– Others as required 
 
Essential Skills: 
 
– Effective written and verbal communication skills 
– Ability to work with others as part of a multi-disciplinary team 
– Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment 
– Physically demanding job. Constantly standing, bending, lifting and twisting for the full working day.  
– Ability to work quickly and efficiently to meet delivery 
– Working in varying temperatures throughout the laundry i.e. hot especially at calendar area in the summer and cold throughout the winter. 
 
Desirable Skills: 
 
– Previous experience of laundry work would be beneficial however not a prerequisite as training will be given.  
– Effective written and verbal communication skills

– Working knowledge of basic information technology
