Marketing Executive
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh / Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit 2 x Marketing Executives for initial 12 month contracts starting January 2025 with option to extend on a rate of £250-£350/day (Inside of IR35). These roles will be mainly remote based however will be required to attend face to face meetings with colleagues for at least one day per week in the Edinburgh or Glasgow office.
Responsibilities:
 
– Development of trade, investment and business/cluster growth propositions and associated content for key future industries.
– Working with our strategic content partner and with specialists across the organisation, planning, testing, developing and delivering b2b brand, demand generation and lead nurture campaigns, analysing key metrics, and identifying opportunities to increase and optimise campaign performance across both offline and digital channels.
– Development of our Marketing Toolkit – further refinement, development and ensuring adoption of marketing tools, content and assets which support our propositions and campaigns and are designed to digitally enable and equip our operational colleagues.
– We also have a number of marketing projects which support our Capital Investment to Drive Productivity mission which these roles may be required to support. This project will involve working with Investment specialists and external stakeholders to research, develop and test propositions for international and domestic audiences and then plan and deliver campaigns which drive awareness and engagement.

Essential Skills:
 
Be able to demonstrate significant (minimum of three years, ideally five years or more) operational experience in a relevant B2B or B2C marketing role. This includes:
 
– Experience of developing propositions for a range of target audiences (ideally in a b2b context)
– Planning, testing and developing both brand and demand generation and lead nurture campaigns, analysing key metrics, and identifying opportunities to increase and optimise campaign performance across both digital and offline channels.
– Understanding of content strategy, planning, development and production of assets, ideally in a b2b context
– Briefing and managing external agencies
– Delivery of events and exhibitions
– Project management and reporting
– Communicating and presenting to colleagues, senior managers, stakeholders and internal clients.

– B2B Marketing
– International marketing
– Place marketing
– Economic development marketing
– Relevant marketing qualification such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing or similar or equivalent operational/practitioner experience if not formally qualified.
