Matching and Data Processing Assistant
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh/Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit 2 x Matching and Data Processing Assistants from 22nd July 2024 to 31st October 2024 with potential to extend on a rate of £16.64. These roles will be based onsite however flexible working may be considered. The working hours are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

Responsibilities:
 
– Meeting with Ukrainian Displaced Persons on a prioritised basis to discuss accommodation options. Matchers will research the area in advance using provided and available information, to identify the key items that will be of interest such as schooling and local services. Translators will also assist with the communication process where available and other tools are also available.
– Data collation from recent arrivals and interrogation of internal systems and information sources to determine suitable properties
– If Ukrainian Displaced Persons agree to an option, calling the host to confirm they are open to match. If Ukrainian Displaced Persons refuse all offers the Matcher will flag to the central team coordinating the information flow for the agreed refusals policy to be considered by the relevant local authority.
– If the host is open to the match, arranging a meeting of Host and Ukrainian Displaced Persons with the venue to be agreed between both. The Matcher will facilitate the meeting but offer privacy for discussions as needed.
– If the meeting is successful, agreeing a move-in date for accommodation and arranging appropriate transport from a range of options.
– Providing details of agreed Local Authority contacts to the host and Ukrainian Displaced Persons, a copy of host guidance for the host and guidance on how they apply for available funding and payments. Matchers also provide a welcome pack for the Ukrainian Displaced Persons.
– Emailing agreed Local Authority contacts with match details and move in date for them to arrange initial meeting. Meeting will be arranged for within 5 days of arrival into long term accommodation, to ensure Ukrainian Displaced Persons are supported, provided with information on how to access all available benefits and payments and any other needs.
– Providing Operational Support to Local Authorities through digital platform – Warm Scottish Welcome (WSW) and its ecosystem, through data cleansing and ensuring integrity of the data flows that provides Ministers with accurate data on our support to Ukrainian displaced persons in Scotland.    

Essential Skills:
 
– Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
– Good customer service or stakeholder experience is required.
– No qualifications are required
