Organisational Design Lead
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit an Organisational Design Lead for an initial 11 month contract (4 days per week) with potential to extend on a rate of £625/day (Inside IR35). This role will be hybrid working with 2 days per week in the office.
Responsibilities:
– Coaching and influencing senior leaders
– Driving implementation of a performance driven culture across the organisation
– Supporting leaders in designing ways of working, structures and alignment to customer priorities
– Working directly with our Executive Team on a set of strategic OD priorities, facilitating workshops, offering challenge, and acting as a critical friend
– Building OD capability across HR function
– Acting as principal OD consultant for the business
– Ability to quickly build effective working relationship with senior leaders in a fast paced, growth environment
– Lead detailed consultancy work in collaboration with Deputy Directors and their teams to develop organisational designs that can flex and adapt to support rapid headcount growth
– Ensure that the Target Operating Model being undertaken is in line with the Agency’s culture and values and that it is designed in a way that enables the Agency mission, as outlined in Our Charter.
– Engage with senior leaders to understand their needs and translate that into effective organisation design solutions for the future
Essential Skills:
– Technical and practical knowledge of employing OD tools
– Excellent stakeholder management
– Organisational design practitioner, or demonstrable organisational design experience
– Experience in designing and facilitating workshops and events, ideally virtually (including MS Teams)
– Previous experience of designing and delivering organisational development activities and initiatives
– Excellent problem solving and analysis
– Experience of working with senior leadership teams, coaching and influencing on organisational design and culture
– Excellent verbal and written communication with experience of presenting to senior audiences and stakeholder groups
– Confident, personable, and collaborative approach
– Comfortable working within an operational delivery environment
