Payroll Manager
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Payroll Manager for a 6 month contract on a rate of £37,000 – £41,000 per annum (pro rata). This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.
Responsibilities:
– Monthly payroll processing for the organisation’s group companies
– Provide significant support to the implementation of a new pay and grading structure in the organisation
– Main contact for payroll-related queries from managers and all employees
– Manage employee benefits, including pension administration and salary sacrifice schemes
– Responsible for the calculation and analysis of gender pay gap
– Monitor, review and process monthly staff expenses process
Essential Skills:
– Candidates with experience of finance department operations
– Experience of managing payroll in a medium sized or large organisation
– HNC or equivalent
– Competent with MS Excel
– Ability to generate and maintain strong working relationships with range of colleagues across organisation
Desirable Skills:
– Charity or public sector experience preferable but not essential
– Experience with major payroll projects desirable
– Familiarity with Cascade or similar would be highly beneficial
