People & OD Assistant Business Partner
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Cardiff, is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Business Partner for a 3 months contract on a rate of £246.17/day (Inside IR35). This role will be hybrid based.
Responsibilities:
– Lead the writing, review, and evaluation of job descriptions in accordance with professional framework including Agenda for Change guidance and GDaD frameworks.
– Ensure consistency of language and tone across job descriptions, clarity, and alignment to job families, career frameworks, and organisational structures
– Work proactively with line managers, service leads, and subject matter experts to understand role requirements and gather input for job documentation.
– Provide advice and guidance to support appropriate evaluation and grading.
– Analyse job content to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment with organisational needs.
– Ensure the use of inclusive, non-discriminatory language in all documentation in line with Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) objectives and legal standards.
– Support the coordination of work schedules, progress tracking, deadlines, and outputs for job description development projects, including preparing updates and reports for senior leadership and board-level review.
– Assist with the integration and use of digital tools, including AI-enhanced processes, to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency in job content work.
– Maintain a library of standardised job descriptions and role profiles, ensuring version control and compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
– Support audit and review activities relating to job documentation and evaluation.
Essential Skills:
– CIPD qualification and membership.
– Experience working in an HR, People, or Learning & Development environment.
– Proven experience in writing, reviewing, or evaluating job descriptions or similar documentation.
– Excellent written communication skills, with strong command of grammar, structure, and tone. Keen eye for details.
– Understanding of inclusive language principles and equality legislation.
– Strong analytical, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
– Competent in using Microsoft Office and digital platforms to support content development.
Desirable Skills:
– Knowledge of Agenda for Change and/or GDaD frameworks.
– Experience supporting or using AI or digital content creation tools.
– Familiarity with job evaluation processes within the NHS or public sector context
– Welsh language skills are desirable at levels 1 or above in understanding, speaking, reading and writing in Welsh
