Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a PHP Developer for an initial 6 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of £500-550/day Inside IR35. This role will be a hybrid of home and office working.

Essential Skills:
 
– Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
– Experience developing with Object Oriented PHP. Must be familiar with PHP 7.3 upwards.
– Experience of designing and querying complex RDMS in various flavours of SQL.
– Good knowledge of Git version control system
– Can work as part of a team
– Experience developing WordPress plugins and themes
– Experience working with Drupal
– Experience implementing automated tests in a web application
– Knowledge of web accessibility would be highly desirable.
– Experience using Drizzle ORM
– Experience using React
– Experience using NextJS
– Knowledge of the Scrum framework and other agile methodologies.
– Familiarity with the Laravel framework
– Experience in jQuery and Bootstrap.
– Prior experience of working with a design system
– An understanding of user-centred approaches (usability and quality user experience).
