Principal Planning & Highways Lawyer
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in West Northamptonshire, is currently looking to recruit a Principal Planning & Highways Lawyer for a 13 week contract on a rate of up to £55 per hour Umbrella or Up to £42.31 per hour PAYE. This role will be a hybrid mix of both working from home and onsite.
Responsibilities:
– To provide planning and highways advice to internal clients and Councillors.
– To review planning reports before they go to planning committee.
– To attend planning committee once a month at our Office (evening meeting) and to attend Chair’s briefing.
– To provide legal advice on all matters relating to Highways.
– To assist the organisation with any planning inquiries
– To draft instructions to Counsel as required
Essential Skills
– Highly experienced legal professional.
– Must have worked in Local Government and willing to attend Planning Committee once a month at Towcester office.
